A 14-Year-Old’s Illegal Driving Left A Resident Injured

  • Dubai Public Prosecution is investigating an incident involving a 14-year-old after a Chinese resident was injured and later saw his condition worsen.

  • The man was initially admitted to hospital with bruises and wounds that were first believed to be from an assault, according to Khaleej Times.

  • His wife said he returned from an evening walk with visible injuries, but did not explain what happened.

  • Hours later, his condition deteriorated with severe fatigue and head pain, leading her to rush him for urgent medical care after discovering a head injury.

  • The victim was struck by a vehicle driven by a 14-year-old at around 9pm on March 17.

  • Police and ambulance teams responded at the time, but the injured man initially declined to file a complaint. The case was later reopened after his condition worsened and he was hospitalised.

  • Investigators identified and arrested the suspect, who has no prior criminal record, and referred him for legal procedures. The victim, also with no criminal history, remains under medical care.
