🚆 Dubai Public Transport Records Over 348 Million Passengers In The First Half Of 2026

• If you feel like the Metro line is always buzzing or finding a taxi on a Friday night takes a little tactical planning, the official numbers are in to back it up 😵‍💫

• Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has revealed that 348.1 million passengers used public transport, taxis, and shared mobility across the city during the first half of 2026 🤯

• That translates to an incredible daily average of nearly 1.9 million commuters choosing to move around the city seamlessly every single day!

• Unsurprisingly, the Dubai Metro took the crown for the highest share of total travel, carrying a massive 136.5 million passengers across the Red and Green lines alone 🚉

• Taxis came in a strong second place by serving 88.9 million riders, while public buses closely followed by moving 85.1 million passengers 🚕 🚌 💨

• Together, these three modes handled almost ninety percent of the city’s daily commute. The remaining journeys were spread across shared mobility services, marine transport like abras and ferries, luxury limousines, and the Dubai Tram.

• January officially marked the busiest month of the year so far, recording a mind-blowing 73.4 million individual journeys 👏🏻
