Dubai Residents Come Together To Send 35+ Tonnes Of Relief To Flood-Stricken Sri Lanka 🙌🏻

  • Dubai has once again proved that when a community is in need, this city doesn’t hesitate to step up 💪🏻

  • After Sri Lanka was struck by one of its most devastating natural disasters last week, UAE residents stepped up in a massive way

  • The island country was struck by the Cyclone Ditwah, which triggered a series of floods and landslides. At least 355 people have lost their lives, 366 missing, and over one million residents have been affected.

  • A Sri Lankan resident here in Dubai, Ashen Senarathna, went live on social media to create awareness about the situation back at his homeland and announced a donation drive.

  • “With one live video, we collected 35 tonnes of aid”. Thirty-five TONNES. From a single call-out. If that doesn’t scream “Dubai community spirit,” nothing does 😍
