🤲🏻 Eid On A Friday? The UAE Clarifies How To Observe Eid And Friday Prayers Together
Eid is one of the most special times of the year. A chance to gather with family, enjoy festive meals, and celebrate the end of Ramadan. But what happens when Eid falls on a Friday? 🤔
If you’re scratching your head about prayer timings, you’re not alone. The UAE Council for Fatwa issued guidance clarifying that both the Eid and Friday prayers should be performed at their respective times 🕌
In its ruling, the council emphasized that Eid prayer does not replace the Friday congregational prayer.
In the UAE, Eid prayers usually begin shortly after sunrise, about 15–20 minutes later, though exact timings vary slightly by emirate.
It’s a beautiful tradition, bringing communities together in gratitude and celebration 🥳
