“No Country Should Hold Hold Straits Hostage”: UAE Minister Reem Al Hashimy Calls Out Iran 🇮🇷
In a strong and clear message during a recent interview, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimy addressed Iran’s actions around the Strait of Hormuz – and stated “No country should hold a strait hostage” 🙌
The politically and economically critical international channel is a passage used to transport gas, oil, petrochemicals, and essential resources that serve countries across the world 🌎
Reem Al Hashimy also spoke about regional relations, making it clear that cooperation – not intimidation – should define relationships between neighbouring countries. “You can’t bully your neighbors” she said.
One of the more striking parts of the interview was when Reem Al Hashimy reminded viewers that the UAE has supported the Iranian people during difficult moments ❤️🩹
The minister concluded by stating that the UAE’s reputation as a safe and secure country was reinforced during the developments, emphasising that the country will “come out stronger and better on the other side”. 💪

British Couple Calls Out Daily Mail’s “False Narrative” About Their Dubai Story
An article by the Daily Mail, titled “British couple who moved to Dubai because it was ‘safer than London’ return to Croydon after war erupted and say they are unlikely to return to the ‘plastic and fake’ city,” quickly gained traction and was picked up by several other Western outlets.
But according to the couple themselves, that narrative couldn’t be further from the truth 👀
Jason Kwao, the British entrepreneur mentioned in the article, took to Instagram to set the record straight and share his side of the story 📢
Jason added that Dubai still sits firmly in his top three places to live, and according to him, the media may sometimes sensationalise headlines, but the truth always finds its way out ❤️
Anyone who has followed Jason’s journey knows that his appreciation for Dubai didn’t just start yesterday. In fact, he previously appeared on the Lovin Dubai Show back in 2025, where he spoke openly about why he chose to move to the city in the first place 🙌
And his bottom line was “no matter where life takes us, this city will always feel like home” 🇦🇪
