8 Members Arrested Over Arranging Driving Licences For People Without Lessons Or Tests

  • Dubai authorities have recently cracked down on a rather risky scheme, arresting eight members of a gang involved in a driving license scam. This group was allegedly helping individuals bypass the proper procedures, offering driving licenses without the need for lessons or tests, all for a hefty fee.

  • Imagine getting a driving license without ever hitting the road for a lesson or facing a test.

  • Well, that’s exactly what this gang was reportedly offering. They specialized in arranging foreign-to-UAE license conversions, completely skipping the mandatory lessons and practical examinations.

  • For this illegally ‘express’ service, they were charging a significant sum, almost AED10,000 per license. It sounds like a shortcut, but it comes with some serious concerns.
