Dubai Residents Are Weighing In On The FIFA World Cup And Opinions Are Mixed
The FIFA World Cup 2026 hasn’t even kicked off yet, but Dubai residents are already weighing in with strong opinions. Spoiler alert: not everyone is happy about it.
Lovin’ Dubai asked its WhatsApp channel audience how they’re feeling about the World Cup.
Among Dubai football fans, the hype is definitely real. Some couldn’t hide their excitement, saying things like “the location isn’t the best, but the groups are fire” and “this World Cup is going to be very interesting.”
Others added that “it’s going to be massive,” especially with 48 teams competing and matches spread across the USA, Canada, and Mexico, making it the biggest tournament yet.
On the other hand, not everyone is as excited. Some residents pointed out that the timing could be a struggle, with matches airing at 2am, 5am, or even 6am Dubai time, making it hard to keep up with all the games.
