Dubai And Sharjah Airlines Cancel Flights After Saudi Arabia’s Abha Airport Attack

• UAE passengers faced flight cancellations on Tuesday after Yemen’s Houthi movement targeted Saudi Arabia’s Abha International Airport with missiles and drones.

• The attack disrupted air travel between Abha, the UAE and other parts of the kingdom, prompting airlines to cancel several scheduled services. No casualties were immediately reported following the incident.

• A check of flydubai’s website showed that two flights from Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 2 to Abha, scheduled for 10:25 am and 4:05 pm on Tuesday, July 14, were cancelled.

• Return services from Abha to Dubai and Sharjah were also affected. FlightRadar24 data showed that flydubai flight FZ815 to Dubai, scheduled for 12:15 pm, and flight FZ811, due to depart at 5:55 pm, were among the cancelled services.

• Air Arabia also cancelled flight G9195 from Abha to Sharjah, which had been scheduled to depart at 2:25 pm, according to the airline’s website.

• Passengers travelling between the UAE and Saudi Arabia are advised to check directly with their airline for the latest flight updates, as schedules may continue to change depending on the security situation.
