A school fee receipt from Our Own English School in Dubai, dating back to October 3, 1977, has sent social media into a nostalgic trip.
The receipt, shared by a content creator, reveals a monthly fee of just AED85, plus an additional AED10 for A.C. charges, making the total a mere 95 DH for a student in Grade 1.
The school fee receipt from nearly five decades ago has everyone in Dubai doing a double-take. This little piece of paper has truly taken us on a stroll down memory lane, highlighting just how much things have changed in the city.The internet is buzzing with comments from people sharing their own school fee memories… One user fondly recalled their dad paying AED 325 in 1997, with bus fees at AED 40 and a deadline of 5th of every month.
