A 9-Year-Old Asked Her Mum Why Sportswear Is Allowed For Mall Runs But Not Shopping

• The Dubai mum and her 9-year-old daughter joined their very first Mallathon run together, enjoying a morning of fitness and family time.

• But after the race, while they were walking through the mall, her daughter noticed something and asked: “Mum, why are people allowed to wear a sports bra and shorts when they’re running in the mall, but not when they’re shopping in the mall?”

• The question caught her mum off guard. “I’ll be honest… I wasn’t quite sure how to answer,” she shared.

• But the innocent observation got her thinking about something bigger… how fitness events, everyday shopping trips and public spaces can sometimes have different expectations.
