Dubai Police Issues A Warning After A Dangerous New ‘Microwaving Slime’ Trend Goes Viral

• With school officially out for the summer, kids across the city are finding creative ways to stay entertained. But Dubai Police have just stepped in with a massive PSA for parents, and it involves two things you probably never thought you’d hear in the same sentence: slime and microwaves.

• A new viral trend has been making the rounds on social media, with kids and teens putting their colourful goo into microwave ovens

• The logic behind the videos? Apparently, blasting it with high heat is supposed to make the slime extra stretchy and flexible.

• The warning, jointly issued by Dubai Police’s Child and Women Protection Department and the Cybercrime and eCrime Prevention Department, makes it pretty clear that this isn’t just a messy cleanup job for parents. It’s actually a major safety hazard.
