A Driver Was Fined AED 150 The Exact Minute Their Parking Expired 🎫
A driver found out the hard way that timing really is everything. They were fined the exact minute their parking expired. No delay, no buffer 🫠
The driver took to Reddit to vent, writing: “I got an RTA parking fine the EXACT minute it expired. How is that fair? I renewed and paid it literally two minutes later and still got fined at the exact expiry time.” 🕐
They added that a small grace period would make sense, especially for people who genuinely try to renew on time. And judging by the comments, a lot of people agreed 🙌
However, here’s the reality check… There’s no grace period once your parking ticket expires 😭
The system works down to the minute, and enforcement is instant. Once that time runs out, a fine can be issued… even if you renew moments later 😬

Reddit Reacts To An AED 7K Piece Of Chicken Listed On Amazon! 😂
If you ever needed a reminder to double-check prices before hitting that “Buy Now,” option, this would be it 👀
Redditors were left seriously confused after spotting a listing on Amazon UAE that showed 500 grams of chicken priced at a casual AED 7,000. Naturally, the internet did what it does best and collectively went, “Whaaat?!” 🤣
Once the screenshot started doing the rounds, more users chimed in saying they’d noticed, everyday products suddenly carrying wild price tags in Dubai, some jumping from under AED10 to nearly AED10,000 💸
Groceries were out there living their luxury era. But not for too long, because thankfully it seemed like a technical error from the team👨💻

A Dubai-Based Content Creator Is Asking Companies To Adopt Remote Work Due To Heavy Traffic 🚦
A Dubai-based content creator is asking companies to allow employees to WFH, instead of making them spend hours stuck on the road every day 🚧
“If someone spends 5-6h on commute daily, that’s almost 30h per week just on the road (100h+ a month),” Naomi D’Souza said 🕐
Some roles obviously can’t go remote. But most jobs can, especially in today’s digital world. Naomi is encouraging companies to start small, even 2 days a week WFH would make a huge difference 🙌
The govt. has been pushing policies to ease traffic, including encouraging flexible work across public and private sectors. Back in November 2024, H.H Sheikh Hamdan approved a Traffic Flow Plan to encourage remote work and flexible hours 📃
At the end of the day, WFH is already an option in Dubai, but whether you actually get to use it all comes down to your company 👀
