The UAE Bans Social Media Access For Children Under 15 ❌
Social media has become a huge part of everyday life, especially for younger generations. But with growing concerns around online safety, screen time, and digital wellbeing, the UAE is introducing new rules aimed at creating a safer online environment for children and teens 🚨
Children under 15 will no longer be allowed on social media 🙅🏻♀️
Under the new rules, children under 15 will not be allowed to create or use personal social media accounts, nor will they have access to the full features of these platforms 📱
The resolution also makes it clear that parental consent cannot be used as an exemption 🫣
Social media companies will be required to monitor accounts, identify violations, and take immediate action to ensure compliance with the new regulations 👏🏻
