• Dubai Municipality has issued new rules setting out where shared accommodation can operate, with certain areas restricted to family sharing only.

• The rules apply to both new buildings and existing properties that have been modified to offer shared accommodation.

• Landlords and developers have until September 8, 2027 to make sure their properties meet the new requirements.
