UAE Schools Change Kindergarten And Grade 1 Age Limit 🚌
The UAE has updated the age cut-off for kindergarten and Grade 1 admissions to December 31 of the admission year, up from August 31!
This change applies to schools and kindergartens starting in August or September. Schools that begin in April will continue using March 31 as their age cut-off. This only affects new admissions starting 2026–2027.
School entry age:
Pre-K: 3 years old by Dec 31
KG1: 4 years old by Dec 31
KG2: 5 years old by Dec 31
Grade 1: 6 years old by Dec 31
