8 Reasons The World Cup Would Be Even Better If It Was Hosted In Dubai
World Cup in Dubai would feel like the whole city just hit game mode. And here’s how it would hit different:
8. A global mix already built in: Dubai already feels like a World Cup every day. One metro ride has jerseys, work uniforms, tourists with suitcases, and people speaking five languages in one carriage, all heading in different directions but somehow coexisting perfectly 🫂
7. Fan zones would go absolutely wild: Fan zones wouldn’t stay in one place. One minute it’s a screen on Kite Beach, next it’s a rooftop in Downtown, then suddenly a marina setup where people are watching goals next to yachts. Even random parks like Zabeel or Expo City would turn into match-day hubs 🎊
6. Getting around would actually be easy: No “stuck in match traffic for 2 hours” situation. It would be metro from Dubai Mall to the stadium, tram through Marina, water taxi from Bluewaters, or a 15-minute Careem ride where the driver is also watching the game on his phone at red lights 👀
5. Football stars are already around: It already feels normal to randomly see footballers in Dubai Mall or at FIVE Palm. Cristiano Ronaldo has been spotted in the UAE multiple times, Paul Pogba shows up for downtime, and even Premier League players regularly fly in for recovery breaks, private training, or just escaping cold Europe for a week 😮💨
4. Safety would be next level: Solo fans walking back from metro stations at midnight after a big match, families leaving stadiums with kids in jerseys, huge crowds celebrating in Downtown or JBR… everything would still feel controlled, with police, signage, and systems quietly handling the atmosphere 🙌
Wondering what the top 3 reasons are? Read along here and find out why Dubai’s the perfect choice for World Cup 2030 🏆

A Dubai Driver Paid For A Parking Scratch… Then Got A Refund Two Years Later!
Two years ago, on her very first day of driving in Dubai, a resident accidentally scratched another car while trying to park. Not exactly the kind of milestone anyone wants to celebrate 🫣
There were scratches, paint damage, and plenty of panic. After waiting for the owner to return, she left a note with her number and an apology 🙌
When they eventually connected, the owner explained that the vehicle was a rental car, meaning there wasn’t much flexibility when it came to handling the damage ☹️
To avoid further complications, the driver paid AED 1,500 based on the amount initially quoted by the rental company and moved on with life, probably hoping to never think about that parking spot again 🫠
Fast forward 2 years, and an unexpected message landed in her inbox from the woman whose car she had hit. The contact was still saved in her phone under a very fitting name: “Julia (car I hit).” 🏎️
The message explained that she had only recently returned the rental car, and when the final charges were processed, the actual damage bill came to AED 800, not AED 1,500. Which meant there was AED 700 left over 💸
Instead of forgetting about it and moving on, Julia reached out to return every dirham (the honesty is wholesome!) 🥹
Within hours, the money was back in the driver’s account. And as if the story wasn’t wholesome enough already, the two are now planning to meet for coffee and finally put faces to the names they’ve had saved in their phones for the last two years ❤️

Manal Rostom Speaks Out On “Brutal, Isolating” Expedition After Being Turned Back 600m From Summit
Prominent mountaineer and athlete Manal Rostom has broken her three-week social media silence with a harrowing account of her recent expedition to Mount Denali (6,190m), North America’s tallest peak 🗻
For Rostom, the most brutal part of the journey wasn’t just the sub-zero temperatures…It was the emotional isolation of navigating an environment she describes as exclusionary 😥
After six months of hardcore training, Rostom left Dubai on May 14 feeling physically primed. However, she quickly found herself walking on eggshells around the American guides 😶🌫️
“I had heard a rumor that American guides will turn you around for absolutely no reason based on your attitude, so I was extra nice,” she explained. “But throughout the three-week experience, it felt incredibly isolating.” ❤️🩹
While the physical climb is over, Rostom made it clear she won’t be staying silent about the experience, concluding her message with a definitive promise: “To be continued.” 🫡
