🚚 Truck Movement Will Be Banned During Peak Hours on Major Dubai Roads From October 1

• Dubai’s RTA and Dubai Police General Command are rolling out a brand-new plan to keep the city’s traffic flowing smoothly and safely. Starting October 1, 2026, heavy trucks will be restricted from major roads during peak hours, with Emirates Road being the cool exception. This exciting move aims to ease congestion and make commutes a breeze for everyone.

• The great news for logistics? Emirates Road is totally exempt from this new rule, ensuring essential transport can still move freely. This joint effort is all about improving traffic flow and boosting road safety across Dubai’s extensive network.

• Get ready to adjust your schedules, as three daily peak periods have been set: 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM, 1 PM – 3 PM, and 5:30 PM – 8 PM. Some key roads and locations will see a round-the-clock ban, including Al Qudra Street, Al Meydan Street, and all crossings and the Airport Tunnel. Other major arteries like SZR, Beirut Street, and residential areas such as Al Mizhar, Muhaisnah, and Oud Al Muteena will have a 16-hour daily ban from 6 AM – 10 PM, ensuring quieter neighborhoods during most of the day.
