From January 1, 2027, a new regulation will cap the number of vehicles a single resident can register at a maximum of five cars. This exciting development is part of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing road safety and bringing a fresh approach to vehicle registration across the Emirates.
The new policy, set to roll out in 2027, introduces a tiered system for vehicle registration. According to Article 89, your first two vehicles will sail through with the standard registration fee.
However, if your collection extends to a third, fourth, or even a fifth set of wheels, you’ll need to factor in some additional fees for their registration or renewal.
This smart move is designed to help manage the ever-growing number of vehicles on our bustling roads, ensuring a smoother and safer experience for everyone. It’s all about finding that perfect balance between personal freedom and collective well-being.
