UAE Says It Has Supplied No Arms Or Related Material To Any Party In Sudan
The United Arab Emirates has responded: it’s not involved in the civil war waging in Sudan, nor has it supplied any arms or related materials to any party since the conflict began in April 2023.
This firm denial comes in response to a report from the Independent International Fact-Finding Mission for the Sudan (FFM)…with the UAE Mission UN Geneva issuing a statement to set the record straight.
This strong stance aims to counter any suggestions of involvement, emphasizing on their commitment towards an end to the war in Sudan.
Beyond its denial, the UAE has been a consistent voice for peace, repeatedly calling for an ‘immediate and unconditional ceasefire’ and an urgent humanitarian truce. Read more…
